Chief Executive Officer

Tyson Smith is the founder and CEO of Quantum Sphere Technologies (QST), a Texas-based, minority-owned, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), VOSB, MBE, SBE, and Texas HUB-certified IT solutions firm. As an HBCU/MI (Historically Black Colleges and Universities / Minority Institution) business leader, Tyson leverages more than 15 years of IT leadership spanning federal, state, local, and commercial sectors.

With a TOP SECRET clearance and deep expertise in cybersecurity, cloud services, and IT infrastructure, Tyson’s mission is to help organizations secure and modernize their digital environments. Prior to founding QST, he served as a Senior Entra ID Engineer and Technical Advisor at Microsoft, where he specialized in Identity and Access Management (IAM), cloud security, and multi-cloud infrastructure.

Throughout his career, Tyson has led enterprise-level projects for high-profile clients, including the U.S. Army, Arizona Department of Child Safety, and multiple Fortune 500 organizations. His extensive background includes Active Directory architecture, cloud migrations, security audits, automation, and IT compliance.

At QST, Tyson oversees all aspects of service delivery, business development, and client engagement—ensuring tailored, scalable, and secure IT solutions. He has guided QST’s growth into a trusted government contractor and certified Microsoft/Adobe reseller, delivering solutions in cybersecurity assessments, cloud transformations, modern workplace upgrades, and IT staffing.
